Love/Hate: J-M vs. Pittsburgh Fans

After an amazing ballet, we took a nap at T’s from midnight to 2AM. Got up, had a 3 egg omelette and finished up packing the car, and we were off. Surprisingly, not too bad a drive from Montreal to Pittsburgh. Customs was jokes because he only asked us 2 questions to two 22-year-old guys who were going in the US for 5 weeks...

Rain was coming down for most of the drive and the winds were pretty intense, but we finally made it to the Radisson Pittsburgh at around 1:30PM. Mellon Arena was awesome again, but I don’t want to compliment it too much, I hate the penguins too much right now. Especially frail, cherry lips Crosby. Habs support was good, i’m proud of montrealers...about 1500 fans on my count. Hoping Gill is back for Game 6, the guy is a beast. Stupid, stupid fans...I can’t stress that enough. Kids everywhere in my section asking their parents why I’m not wearing their dumb “White-out” t-shirt... “Cuz IM A HABS FAN!...dumb kid...”

As you can expect with anyone with barely 2 hours sleep and an 11 hour-drive, I was pretty pissed at losing. But back at the hotel with a stiff rum and coke, I felt a lot better. Especially when Big featuring the legendary Tom Hanks came on TV.

Tomorrow will be another day.
