Got to Wilkes-Barre by 11:30 or so this morning. Tyler was meeting a friend of his, who turned out to be quite delightful for a penguins/Phillies fan. Good taste in music and sense of humor, that’s two good things in my books. Anyways, they went off to visit Scranton, which I also visited later on(we drove on Mifflin Rd. Ahhhhh yea!) I checked in and stayed in the Ramada most of the day, doing some fitness center and yoga on my own and it felt great, followed by a nap, which means I should be right back on track with the sleep patterns now. Got up and walked around Wilkes-Barre, took me 15 minutes to find someone and we’re in the middle of downtown...on a Sunday afternoon...and the person I found was a bum, and he wanted to bum a smoke...so boring...maybe only on Sundays, but I dunno.
I met up with her and Tyler later on and we went to a Chinese buffet, get this: SUPER BUFFET WORLD! You know that a place with full neon sign and pink neon around the windows, you’re gonna be in for a treat! Back at the hotel now, trying rum and cherry coke to be different, and the taste of it reminded me why I don’t like being different.
Tomorrow will be another day.
Driving Time today: 4.5 hours
Album of the day: A Man under the Influence by Alejandro Escovedo
Quote of the day: “That's why I hate bittersweet chocolate. I don't even-- What's the point of that? Why not just sweet? I mean who- who are you helping??”
- Michael Scott, from an Office episode I just listened to 20 minutes from Scranton
